What type of wood do you use in manufacturing, and why is thermally treated wood good?

We use Lunawood ThermoWood® (thermally modified pine) for the sauna exterior, while benches are made from aspen and alder. Thermally treated wood is ideal for saunas as it’s resistant to water and humidity, doesn’t swell or shrink, won’t warp or twist like untreated wood, and doesn’t leak resin.

Are your products suitable for year-round use?

Yes, our saunas can be used year-round, enduring cold winters and hot summers. We use 40mm or 70mm thick thermally treated wood, roofing with shingles or EPDM rubber to ensure moisture resistance. We also recommend applying an external UV-protective varnish treatment which ensures long-lasting durability.

Does the standard sauna kit include a heater?

A standard kit includes the sauna only. Optional LED lighting and a heater packages are available as add-ons.*

How do I choose the right sauna heater?

Choose based on the desired experience: a wood-burning heater offers authenticity with live fire, crackling logs, and aroma. An electric heater offers convenience, enabling remote activation via smartphone.

Can products be customized (custom solutions)?

Yes, customization is possible, but it involves additional waiting time for designing and manufacturing. Typically, a custom order takes a minimum of 2-3 months.

Are your products certified and compliant with European standards?

Yes, all materials we use are certified and compliant with EU standards.

How do you differentiate between basic/elegant/premium saunas?

Our saunas differ primarily by price range. Our goal is to provide an ideal sauna experience for every customer.

Are sauna components painted at the factory?

DIY (self-assembly) sauna components are partially factory-painted, requiring final finishing during installation. Fully assembled saunas are factory-painted and finished.

Can I order a turnkey solution (assembled + painted + heater + lighting)?

Yes, turnkey solutions are available.*

Do you sell directly to private customers (B2C), or only B2B? How can a private customer buy a sauna from Leil Saunas?

We collaborate with partners (B2B) in multiple countries, through whom private customers (B2C) can buy our saunas with their preferred heater and lighting packages.

How can I place an order (step-by-step)?

1. Select your preferred sauna (size, glass color, LED lighting, other options) by using our sauna configurator.
2. Enter your contact details (name, email, country, city, additional notes).
3. Submit your inquiry. We’ll forward your details to your nearest reseller.

Can private customers order directly, or only business customers?

Private customers cannot order directly. Orders must go through our authorized partners.

What delivery terms and payment options do you offer?

We offer EXW and DAP delivery terms. Payment options depend on the customer.

Do you provide international shipping?

Yes, international shipping is available.

What is the delivery time?

Production typically takes 3-4 weeks, plus transportation time ranging from about one week to two months, depending on your location and season.

Does the product come with an instruction manual, or can it be downloaded?

All products come with a physical instruction manual. Manuals can also be downloaded from our partners’ websites.

On what surface can the sauna be installed?

The sauna must be installed on stable and level ground that doesn’t settle. This means the ground must be prepared, either with driven piles or a concrete foundation.

Where can I find videos or installation tutorials?

Installation videos and tutorials are available from our business partners, who have undergone specialized training.

Can I assemble the sauna myself (instructions, fasteners, required tools)?

Yes, self-assembly is possible. However, we recommend using trained specialists who have the required knowledge and tools.

Why and how should I maintain the sauna?

We recommend treating the sauna annually with proper products: externally with a UV- and moisture-resistant varnish to maintain long-term durability, and benches with special sauna oil or wax.

How is drainage handled?

Our saunas have drainage systems with built-in floor drains. The floors are slightly inclined to direct water toward the drain.

How often should maintenance be performed?

At least annually, depending on frequency of use.

Does thermally treated wood require maintenance?

Yes, thermally treated wood also requires annual treatment.

How can I extend the lifespan of my sauna?

Regular annual maintenance, treating both the interior and exterior surfaces, significantly extends sauna lifespan.

How long is the warranty?

Our products come with a two-year warranty.*

What does the warranty cover (and exclude)?

The warranty covers defects related to materials and manufacturing, and damages occurring prior to transportation. It does not cover wood-specific natural variations (color, cracks, knots), normal wear and tear, incorrect assembly/installation, force majeure events like natural disasters or wars, or unauthorized modifications.

How can I file a warranty claim?

Claims should be filed through our authorized partners you bought sauna from, who will assist and resolve issues promptly.

What if my product arrives damaged?

Immediately photograph the damage and submit these images along with your claim to our authorized partner.

What if the product is defective?

Immediately photograph the defect and send these images along with your claim to our authorized partner.
