Estonia’s leading sauna makers launch the Estonian Sauna Trust

Published on October 26, 2026

We are proud to share that Leil Saunas is one of four founding members of the Estonian Sauna Trust, a new quality mark created to make Estonian sauna craftsmanship, reliability and culture easier to recognise around the world.

The alliance was introduced to the international market at interbad 2026 in Stuttgart, held on 6-8 October 2026. There we met buyers, planners and spa operators together with our fellow founding members and presented the Trust’s new brand identity for the first time.

Five principles the quality mark is built on

Estonian Sauna Trust brings together companies from Estonia’s sauna industry who want to jointly strengthen the reputation of Estonian saunas on the international market. The quality mark highlights the origin and quality of Estonian saunas, and the expertise behind them.

  • Quality as a strategic focus
  • Reliable products and expert support
  • An authentic sauna experience
  • Long-term reliability
  • Thoughtful innovation

Why a shared quality mark?

Estonian sauna culture is gaining recognition far beyond our borders, and with that comes a simple question from customers and partners: how do you know which saunas are truly made to last? The Estonian Sauna Trust answers this. Membership is selective, and the mark is granted only to companies that meet the Trust’s shared standards.

For buyers, distributors and spa operators, the mark works as a seal of confidence. It will appear on products, websites, trade fair stands and partner materials.

The initiative is run by the Estonian non-profit association MTÜ Eesti Sauna Liit and operates internationally as the Estonian Sauna Trust.

Voices from the founding members

“To Estonians, leil means more than steam – it is the moment water hits the hot stones, the room falls quiet and the sauna comes alive.”
Romet Tsirna, Founder of Leil® Saunas

“Estonian Sauna Trust is a promise: the mark stands for proven quality, expert technical support and forward-thinking companies that stand behind their products.”
Mihkel Ilp, CEO of HUUM

“Estonian sauna building stands out for the way it brings together design, craftsmanship and technical excellence – creating saunas that are built to last and perform year after year.”
Marten Merdikes, CEO of Auroom

“A truly great sauna should feel as though it has always belonged exactly where it is – designed around the place, the people and the experience it is meant to create.”
Marko Kevvai, DWILD

In good company

Together, the founding members cover the full sauna experience, from heaters and controls to ready-made and fully bespoke saunas:

  • Leil Saunas – design-led indoor and outdoor saunas built in Southern Estonia, backed by 18 years of craftsmanship and customers in 45+ countries.
  • HUUM – award-winning electric and wood-burning sauna heaters that combine a soft sauna experience, Nordic design, and smart control technology.
  • Auroom – premium designer sauna collections and fully tailor-made solutions for private, hospitality and public spaces.
  • DWILD – tailor-made indoor, outdoor, and public saunas, engineered for architectural projects and high-intensity commercial use.

For us, joining the Trust is a natural continuation of what we have always done: building saunas with care and standing behind every one of them. We are glad to now do it alongside partners who share the same commitment.
